Xander Tilock is the founder and lead writer of Central Grounds, a publication covering Virginia Athletics, the NCAA more broadly and occasionally professional sporting leagues. Previously, Xander was the Sports Editor for the 135th and 136th terms of The Cavalier Daily. He is currently a Senior Writer for the 137th term of The Cavalier Daily.

Xander has authored over 200 articles on topics including football, baseball, lacrosse, soccer, swimming and diving, Shakespeare, food reviews, news coverage, women's arm wrestling, autonomous robot racing, and personal columns. Xander has extensive experience in feature writing, columns, AP style and copy regulations, breaking news, news briefs, and lifestyle columns.
